The problem
Writing and updating programmes eats evenings. If you have 20 clients and rewrite each programme every month at 45 minutes, that's 900 minutes, 15 hours a month.
What the AI does
My PT Hub's pricing page lists an AI workout and program builder on its Premium plan, along with unlimited clients, unlimited workouts and automated client check-ins. The page doesn't say how the builder works, so try it in the free trial and see what it asks for. Use it to produce a first draft, then adapt every programme to the client: their goals, experience, equipment and your own assessment. Nothing goes to a client unchecked. The tool doesn't screen clients. Health screening, injuries and medical conditions stay with you and the client's GP, and you should not use AI to decide whether someone is fit to exercise, to plan rehab or to give nutrition advice for a medical condition.
A worked example
A personal trainer in Bristol coaches 20 clients and rewrites each programme every month, about 45 minutes each. She has screened every client herself before they started.
Before
20 programmes a month at 45 minutes: 900 minutes, 15 hours
After
If a draft plus her edits takes about 25 minutes each: 500 minutes, 8.3 hours
What it's worth
About 6.7 hours a month saved (400 minutes, 20 x 20), worth about £233 at £35 an hour, if the draft really saves 20 minutes a programme (an assumption to test in the trial). Premium is €59 a month (about £51) on flexible monthly billing, or €52 a month (about £45) on an annual plan, for unlimited clients. Prices are shown in euros; check the local price at checkout. Check what payment processing costs. This uses only the AI workout builder; Check-Ins AI is an optional extra at €10 a month (about £9).
How to set it up
- Start the 30-day free trial (no card needed) and build one programme with the AI builder to see what it asks for and how good the draft is.
- Compare Premium (unlimited clients, AI builder) with Starter (3 clients, no AI builder) for your client numbers.
- For each client, screen and assess them yourself first, then use the draft as a starting point and adapt it.
- Read every exercise, set and rep before sending; remove anything unsuitable for that client.
- Tell clients in your terms that programmes are prepared by you with software support, and check with your insurer that this is covered.
What goes wrong
- AI drafts can include unsuitable exercises or loads. You are responsible for the plan; never send one unchecked.
- Client health information is special-category data under UK GDPR. Check My PT Hub's data terms and where data is held before entering any, and tell clients how it is used.
- Don't make medical claims or give nutrition advice for conditions. Refer clients with medical concerns to their GP.
- Prices are shown in euros and may differ for you; check the local price at checkout, and what the annual plan commits you to.
