AI model by TypeSafe AI

Jev for small businesses

Jev is a different kind of AI model from the chat assistants. It doesn't write anything: software sends it a message or a form along with questions set in advance, and it answers each one with one of the allowed options or a score, plus how confident it is. That suits sorting and routing jobs a business wants to run unattended, with anything uncertain sent to a person. It is in early access and needs a developer or an automation tool that can call an API.

What Jev is best at

  • Sorting into fixed categories

A Choice question picks one of the options you list, such as which team an email belongs to, so it can only answer with a category you set.

  • Scoring and yes or no checks

Score questions rate something on a scale you define, such as how good a lead looks, and yes or no questions return a probability that a statement is true.

  • Knowing when to ask a person

Each answer comes with a probability and a confidence figure, so an automation can act on clear cases and send unclear ones for review.

  • Cheap at volume

Priced at $42 (about £32) per billion input tokens with output free. TypeSafe claims it is about 194 times faster and 445 times cheaper than chat models on its own tests.

  • Many questions in one call

Several questions about the same email or form are answered in parallel in one request. TypeSafe states that customer requests and responses aren't used for training.

Pricing

No public monthly price

Pay as you go: $42 (about £32) per billion input tokens, with output free, so a few hundred emails a month costs a few pence. Jev is in early access; access is through an API key from the TypeSafe console.
