The problem
A busy chiropractor sees 40 patients a day, and notes get finished after hours or at the weekend. If each visit note takes 3 minutes to complete, 40 visits a day over 19 days is 2,280 minutes, 38 hours a month.
What the AI does
ChiroSpring AI, a $49£37€44A$71C$69 a month add-on for 360 Pro or Pro+, includes AI Scribe, which turns the conversation in the room into a note inside any custom SOAP template, wherever you place the scribe widget. AI Note Rewrite reformats a note from a prompt, and AI Chart Summary summarizes up to 30 notes before a re-exam. ChiroSpring says the provider stays fully responsible for reviewing, editing and approving every note. Get each patient's consent before recording: ChiroSpring advises a consistent consent process, and recording consent laws vary by state. HIPAA: ChiroSpring's terms put PHI processed by its AI features under its Business Associate Agreement.
A worked example
An illustrative example built from typical figures, not a named business.
A one-doctor clinic in Scottsdale on ChiroSpring 360 Pro sees about 40 visits a day, 19 days a month, and adds ChiroSpring AI for routine follow-up visits first.
Before
3 minutes finishing each of 760 notes: 38 hours a month
After
1.5 to 2 minutes to read, correct and sign each draft: 19 to 25 hours a month
What it's worth
About $950£714€850A$1,371C$1,343 a month of the doctor's time, against $49£37€44A$71C$69 for ChiroSpring AI. Saving 1 to 1.5 minutes on each of 760 visit notes is 12.7 to 19 hours; at an assumed $75£56€67A$108C$106 an hour, that's $950£714€850A$1,371C$1,343 to $1,425£1,071€1,275A$2,057C$2,014. The clinic already pays for 360 Pro; on the $149£112€133A$215C$211 360 plan, moving to Pro adds $100£75€89A$144C$141.
How to set it up
- Confirm the clinic is on 360 Pro or Pro+ (the AI add-on isn't offered on 360) and that ChiroSpring's terms, which include the BAA, cover your account.
- Write a short consent statement for AI recording, check your state's recording consent rule, and record each patient's consent or refusal in the chart.
- Drag the scribe widget into your daily visit template and start with routine follow-up visits.
- Read every draft against what happened: complaints, segments adjusted, technique, response and plan. Correct it, then sign.
- In the first month, check finished notes against your payers' documentation rules, including Medicare's for spinal manipulation if you bill it.
What goes wrong
- A draft can record something you didn't do or miss the segment you adjusted. The signed note is your record for payers and your state board, so read it every time.
- Patients who decline recording still need a full note; don't skip their documentation or let the AI fill gaps.
- The time saved depends on how much you correct. If you rewrite most drafts, the saving shrinks.
- Chart Summary covers up to 30 notes, so a long-running patient's full history still needs your own review.
