The problem
Neurotoxin wears off over a few months, and a client who doesn't get a nudge may drift to the med spa running a promotion that week. If 6 more clients a month came back on time for a $550£414€492A$794C$777 treatment, that's $3,300£2,481€2,953A$4,764C$4,665 a month of treatments.
What the AI does
Boulevard's automated campaigns nudge clients to come back, and are free to send: Boulevard charges $2£2€2A$3C$3 for each completed appointment a campaign brings in. They run inside the same system as your booking, texts and client profiles, so a client can book the next visit from the message. Messages stay general ("time to book your next visit"), and a licensed provider decides at the visit whether treatment is appropriate.
A worked example
A med spa in Dallas with three providers sees about 600 neurotoxin clients a year, and many come back late or not at all. It already runs Boulevard Aesthetics Essentials and turns on automated campaigns for clients who haven't booked their next visit.
Before
No reminders for about 600 neurotoxin clients a year; they rebook when they remember
After
Automated campaigns bring back about 6 more clients a month for a $550£414€492A$794C$777 treatment
What it's worth
About $1,320£992€1,181A$1,906C$1,866 a month in profit, at an assumed 40% margin on $3,300£2,481€2,953A$4,764C$4,665 of treatments (6 more a month at $550£414€492A$794C$777). That is against $179£135€160A$258C$253 a month for Aesthetics Essentials billed annually ($199£150€178A$287C$281 monthly) plus $12£9€11A$17C$17 in campaign charges (6 completed appointments at $2£2€2A$3C$3).
How to set it up
- Confirm with Boulevard that your account has a signed BAA before client treatment history is used in campaigns.
- Set up a campaign for clients who haven't rebooked, and check the timing and wording options in Boulevard's settings.
- Keep texts general and don't name the treatment; health details don't belong in a text message that others may see.
- Send marketing texts only to clients who gave prior express written consent, with STOP working, under the TCPA; marketing emails need your address and an unsubscribe link under CAN-SPAM.
- Check monthly how many completed appointments campaigns produced against the $2£2€2A$3C$3 charge.
What goes wrong
- Each plan includes a set number of free texts (250 on Essentials); campaign texts beyond that are charged by volume.
- Too many nudges read as pressure and drive opt-outs. Start with one message per due client.
- Ask a HIPAA adviser whether your campaign wording counts as marketing that needs the client's authorization.
