Liscio's per-organizer fee: what a tax season will cost you

Liscio's pricing page lists $7 per tax organizer, or $4 to $5 in prepaid bundles, on top of seats. How volume changes your bill and what to do by December 15.

By GetInto AI · · 4 min read

As of October 2026, Liscio's pricing page lists a charge for every tax organizer a firm sends: $7£5€6A$10C$10 each without a bundle, or $4£3€4A$6C$6 to $5£4€4A$7C$7 each in prepaid bundles. That's on top of the per-user subscription, so the number of organizers your firm sends in a season drives a large part of the bill. A season with twice the organizers costs close to twice as much in organizer fees, with the same seats. Count last season's organizers before you buy a bundle or renew.

What the pricing page shows

  • Organizers and deliveries sent without a bundle: $7£5€6A$10C$10 each.
  • Prepaid bundles: $5£4€4A$7C$7 each for 1 to 499, $4.50£3.38€4.03A$6.50C$6.36 for 500 to 999, and $4£3€4A$6C$6 for 1,000 or more. Organizers and deliveries, in any mix, count together toward the tier.
  • Bundles need at least one Liscio Platform seat, and prepurchase pricing is listed as available through December 15, 2026.
  • Seats: File Intelligence at $19£14€17A$27C$27 a user a month and Liscio Platform at $49£37€44A$71C$69 a user a month, both billed annually. Monthly plans are available on request, with no prices shown.
  • E-signature with knowledge-based authentication (KBA): $2£2€2A$3C$3 a signer.

The page's own example is 300 organizers plus 300 deliveries, 600 in all at $4.50£3.38€4.03A$6.50C$6.36 each: $2,700£2,030€2,416A$3,898C$3,817. It doesn't define a delivery beyond counting it with organizers, and it doesn't say whether unused bundle credits carry over to the next season or can be refunded. Ask Liscio about both before you buy.

Who it affects

Tax preparers, CPA firms and bookkeepers who use Liscio to send organizers, or who are pricing it for the coming filing season. Organizers and document collection are listed under Liscio Platform, the $49£37€44A$71C$69 seat, not under File Intelligence at $19£14€17A$27C$27 which covers reading, classifying and naming new documents and secure file exchange. A firm that only uses File Intelligence doesn't send organizers through Liscio, so this charge doesn't reach it.

Organizer volume changes the cost

Because the charge is per organizer, the same firm pays very different amounts depending on how many it sends. Some illustrative arithmetic at the listed prices:

  • 150 organizers: $1,050£789€939A$1,516C$1,484 at $7£5€6A$10C$10 each, or $750£564€671A$1,083C$1,060 in a $5£4€4A$7C$7 bundle.
  • 360 organizers: $2,520£1,895€2,255A$3,638C$3,562 at $7£5€6A$10C$10 each, or $1,800£1,353€1,611A$2,598C$2,544 in a $5£4€4A$7C$7 bundle.
  • 700 organizers and deliveries combined: $4,900£3,684€4,384A$7,074C$6,926 at $7£5€6A$10C$10 each, or $3,150£2,368€2,818A$4,547C$4,453 at $4.50£3.38€4.03A$6.50C$6.36.

Seats come on top. In Tax organizers and document chasing with Liscio, the worked example is a three-preparer office in Sacramento filing about 360 individual returns a season. Three Platform seats are $147£111€132A$212C$208 a month ($1,764£1,326€1,578A$2,547C$2,493 a year), and 360 organizers in a $5£4€4A$7C$7 bundle are $1,800£1,353€1,611A$2,598C$2,544 a season: about $297£223€266A$429C$420 a month averaged over 12 months, or about $357£268€319A$515C$505 a month if every organizer goes out at $7£5€6A$10C$10. The idea is plain that on time saved alone this costs more than it saves at an assumed $40£30€36A$58C$57 for a preparer hour, and pays back at about $60£45€54A$87C$85 an hour. More organizers in a season raise the cost without changing the seat count, so redo that arithmetic with your own number.

Tax organizers and document chasing with Liscio

Liscio sends organizers, tracks what each client has returned, follows up and names files. From $49£37€44A$71C$69 a user a month plus $5£4€4A$7C$7 to $7£5€6A$10C$10 an organizer.

  • Costs $297–357£223–268€266–319A$429–515C$420–505/mo
  • Worth $200£150€179A$289C$283/mo
  • Doesn't pay for itself within a month
  • Easy to set up

Watch the tier edges too. At the listed prices, 480 organizers at $5£4€4A$7C$7 cost $2,400£1,805€2,147A$3,465C$3,392 while 500 at $4.50£3.38€4.03A$6.50C$6.36 cost $2,250£1,692€2,013A$3,248C$3,180 so a firm close to a boundary can pay less for a bigger bundle, as long as the extras are worth something later. And every organizer sent counts, including ones to clients who have moved on or file elsewhere. Liscio's organizer page says organizers can go out prefilled with last year's data and in bulk, which makes it easy to send one to everyone, so clean the client list first.

What to do before December 15

  • Count the organizers and deliveries you sent last season, and take out clients who have left, passed the work to someone else or no longer need one.
  • Ask Liscio what counts as a delivery, whether unused bundle credits carry over, whether you can add to a bundle later at the bundle price, and what monthly seats cost for seasonal preparers.
  • If your count is clear, decide on a bundle before prepurchase pricing ends on December 15, 2026, sized to the volume you're confident of.
  • Add Liscio to your written information security plan, as the FTC Safeguards Rule requires and IRS Publication 5708 describes, with who has access and how old files are deleted.
  • Keep checking each client's documents against last year's return yourself, as IRS Circular 230's due diligence rules expect. An organizer only chases what's on it.

Where to start

This week, pull last season's organizer count and multiply it by $7£5€6A$10C$10 by $5£4€4A$7C$7 and, if you're near 500, by $4.50£3.38€4.03A$6.50C$6.36. Add your Platform seats at $49£37€44A$71C$69 a user a month for the year. If the total is more than the hours it saves are worth to your firm, send organizers only to the clients who need them, and put your questions to Liscio before December 15. The Liscio tool page has the current prices in one place.
