The problem

Sellers who ship their own orders copy addresses and weights into a courier site one by one. If a seller ships 150 orders a month and each label takes 3 minutes, that's 450 minutes, 7.5 hours a month.

What the AI does

Veeqo is shipping and inventory software. Its UK pricing page lists a free Shipping plan with unlimited orders and users, pre-negotiated rates, a rate shopping API and a Profit Analyser, and names Amazon, Shopify and eBay among the channels it connects to. Connect your seller account, let orders come into Veeqo, and buy labels there. The page doesn't say which couriers you can use or the rates, so check inside a free account before you move. Inventory sync across channels is on the paid Inventory plan, from £17 a month including VAT, priced by monthly order volume; you don't need it for labels.

A worked example

A seller in Leicester ships about 150 orders a month herself alongside FBA stock, buying labels one at a time on a courier website.

Before

About 3 minutes a label: 150 x 3 = 450 minutes, 7.5 hours a month

After

About 1 minute a label from the Veeqo order screen: 150 x 1 = 150 minutes, 2.5 hours a month

What it's worth

About 5 hours a month saved (300 minutes), worth around £125 if your time is worth £25 an hour. The Shipping plan is free; postage itself is still paid. Any saving on rates depends on the couriers and prices Veeqo offers you, which aren't on the page, so none is counted here. The Inventory plan, from £17 a month including VAT, is optional and not included.

How to set it up

  1. Create a free Veeqo account and connect your Amazon seller account, following Veeqo's connection steps.
  2. Check that your orders arrive in Veeqo and compare the couriers and prices offered with what you pay now.
  3. Buy labels from the Veeqo order screen for a few days alongside your old method.
  4. Check each label against the order before you stick it on the parcel.
  5. After a month, decide whether to add the Inventory plan, using Veeqo's order volume selector for the exact price.

What goes wrong

  • Orders must arrive on time and with the right address and service; check the first week against Seller Central.
  • Rate and carrier choices depend on what Veeqo offers you; they may not beat your existing contract, and Veeqo makes a small commission on labels, so compare prices.
  • Dispatch deadlines on Amazon still apply; a label bought late is still a late dispatch.
  • Keep your own record of tracking numbers and confirm they reach Amazon so tracking is available to customers.
