The problem
Many website projects stall waiting for the client's copy and photos. If an agency runs 4 builds a month and spends 2 hours on each chasing and sorting content from emails and file-sharing links, that's 8 hours a month, and every week of delay pushes back the final invoice.
What the AI does
Content Snare lets you send a client one request listing everything you need, page by page, with questions for the text and upload areas for photos and logos. The client fills it in through a simple portal. You can set as many automatic email reminders as you like for each request, so the chasing happens without you. Plans are limited by how many requests are active at once: Basic has 20 active requests and 2 users.
A worked example
A three-person web design agency in Brighton builds about 4 small-business sites a month. Instead of a shared folder and reminder emails, each client gets a Content Snare request built from the agency's standard site template.
Before
4 builds a month with 2 hours each of chasing and sorting content: 8 hours
After
If reminders do the chasing and content arrives in one place: about 45 minutes per build, 3 hours a month
What it's worth
About $233£175€208A$336C$329 a month saved, against about $35£26€31A$50C$49 to $43£32€38A$61C$60 for Content Snare Basic. About 5 hours a month saved (8 down to 3), worth about $233£175€208A$336C$329 at an assumed $47£35€42A$67C$66 an hour, if clients respond to the reminders (an assumption to test on two projects). Cost: Basic is $35 (about $35£26€31A$50C$49) a month billed annually or $42 (about $43£32€38A$61C$60) monthly, for 2 users and 20 active requests. Sites finished sooner also mean final invoices go out sooner, which isn't counted here.
How to set it up
- Build a template request from your standard site: copy questions for each page, a logo upload, photo uploads and brand colors and fonts.
- Set a reminder schedule for each request and keep the wording friendly.
- Send the request at kick-off with a deadline that matches your build schedule.
- Check progress weekly and phone clients who are stuck rather than adding more reminders.
- Close requests when a site launches so they don't count against your 20 active requests.
What goes wrong
- Basic allows 20 active requests and 2 users. A bigger agency, or one that leaves old requests open, will need Plus at $71 to $85 a month.
- Reminders can't make a client write their copy. Some will still need a call or a copywriting session.
- Don't ask for passwords in an ordinary text question. Share logins through a password manager instead.
- Prices are in dollars, and the annual price is paid up front.
