The problem

A deal can't go to a lender until the client sends bank statements, accounts, ID and the asset quote, and chasing them by email and phone eats the week. If you package 10 applications a month and collecting each pack takes 60 minutes of chasing, that's 10 hours a month, and every delay gives the client time to go elsewhere.

What the AI does

Content Snare lets you build a request listing every document and answer a lender needs. The client gets a link to a simple portal and uploads files against each item, and automatic email reminders chase anything missing. You approve each item or send it back for changes. Save a template for each type of deal, such as asset finance or an unsecured business loan, so a new request takes a couple of minutes.

A worked example

A two-broker firm in Milton Keynes packages about 10 applications a month. Each client gets a Content Snare request built from the right deal template, on the Basic plan for 2 users and 20 active requests.

Before

60 minutes of emails and calls to collect each of 10 document packs: 10 hours a month

After

About 20 minutes to send, review and approve each pack: 3.3 hours a month

What it's worth

About $355£267€318A$513C$502 a month in broker time, against $35£26€31A$50C$49 to $43£32€38A$61C$60 for Content Snare. That is 40 minutes saved on each of 10 applications, 400 minutes or 6.7 hours, at an assumed $53£40€48A$77C$75 an hour. Basic is $35 (about $35£26€31A$50C$49) a month billed annually or $42 (about $43£32€38A$61C$60) monthly, for 2 users and 20 active requests.

How to set it up

  1. List what your lenders usually ask for by deal type and build one Content Snare template for each.
  2. Send the request as soon as the client agrees to go ahead, with a due date.
  3. Check the reminder emails' timing and wording before the first live request.
  4. Approve each document or send it back with a note, such as 'statement is missing a page'.
  5. Save the approved pack to your own client file before you submit to the lender, then close the request.

What goes wrong

  • Bank statements and ID are personal data under UK GDPR. Content Snare states ISO 27001 certification but its pricing page doesn't say where data is stored, so ask before you start.
  • Basic allows 20 active requests at once. Close finished requests, or a busy month will hit the limit.
  • Reminders chase uploads, not quality. A blurred or incomplete statement still needs your eye before it reaches a lender.
  • Prices are in US dollars, so the sterling cost moves with the exchange rate.
