The problem
Parents choose an entertainer from a Google search and read the reviews before they ring. A busy entertainer doing 12 parties a month who asks for a review only when they remember might get 1 a month, while the reviews they do have get older. If more recent reviews win 1 extra $239£180€214A$346C$338 party every 2 months, that's worth switching on.
What the AI does
Setmore's Pro plan includes Google review requests, alongside the Google reviews shown on every plan. Once parties are booked through Setmore, turn on review requests so each parent is asked after their booking, and reply to every review yourself from your Google Business Profile. The pricing page doesn't give the timing or wording, so check the settings and send a test to yourself.
A worked example
A children's entertainer in Essex runs about 12 parties a month booked through Setmore Pro. They turn on Google review requests and reply to each new review within a day.
Before
About 1 review a month, asked for when remembered
After
Every parent asked after their party, with 1 extra $239£180€214A$346C$338 party every 2 months assumed from parents who read the reviews
What it's worth
About $72£54€64A$104C$102 a month in profit if more reviews win 1 extra $239£180€214A$346C$338 party every 2 months, at an assumed 60% margin: $144£108€129A$207C$203 every 2 months. That's an assumption, not a promise. Setmore Pro is $5 (about $5£4€5A$8C$8) a user a month billed annually or $12 (about $12£9€11A$17C$17) monthly, and nothing extra if you already use it for bookings.
How to set it up
- Claim and complete your Google Business Profile with your areas, packages and photos that don't show children's faces.
- Connect it to Setmore and, on Pro, turn on Google review requests.
- Check the settings for when the request goes and what it says, and send a test to yourself.
- Reply to every review yourself, thanking the parent without naming the child.
- Each month, compare reviews received with parties held.
What goes wrong
- Ask every parent, not just the happy ones. Google's policies don't allow asking only for positive reviews.
- Don't offer a discount or a free extra for a review; Google's rules don't allow incentives.
- Reviews can name or describe children. Don't repost them with children's names, and never share party photos in replies.
- Parents who book by phone won't get the request unless you add their booking to Setmore.
