The problem
Owners want to know their dog was walked, and many text to ask. If a walker takes 12 dogs a day and spends 3 minutes per dog sending photos and answering messages, that's 36 minutes a day, 3 hours a week over 5 days, about 12.9 hours a month.
What the AI does
Time To Pet's pricing page lists GPS on every plan, collected at check-in and check-out or for the whole walk, and clients can optionally see it. After each walk the staff app sends a report with notes, pictures and a report card, delivered by email or push notification in the client's app (text messages need Solo or above), and owners reply in the same conversation feed. Set up a short report card (wee, poo, mood, water, any cuts) so each report takes about a minute. Videos up to 20 seconds need Solo.
A worked example
A walker in Cardiff takes 12 dogs a day, 5 days a week, in 3 group walks. They track the whole walk by GPS and send a report card and two photos per dog from the staff app.
Before
3 minutes per dog on photos and replies: 36 minutes a day, about 12.9 hours a month
After
About 1 minute per dog for the report: 12 minutes a day, about 4.3 hours a month
What it's worth
About $229£172€205A$330C$323 a month saved, at an assumed $27£20€24A$38C$38 an hour for 8.6 hours (12.9 minus 4.3). Lite is $25 (about $25£19€23A$36C$36) a month; Solo, at $50 (about $51£38€45A$73C$71), adds text messaging and short videos. The net is about $178£134€159A$257C$252 to $203£153€182A$294C$288.
How to set it up
- Start a trial and choose whether GPS records the whole walk or just check-in and check-out, and whether owners can see the route.
- Set up a short report card with what owners ask about: wee, poo, mood, water and any cuts or ticks found.
- Add a line to your terms saying walks are GPS-tracked and photographed, and how long you keep the data.
- On each walk, check in and out on the staff app and send the report before the next pick-up.
- After a month, count how many 'how was the walk?' messages you still get.
What goes wrong
- Tracking a whole day drains a phone battery; carry a power bank or track check-in and check-out only.
- Route data shows where you walk and when. Letting owners see it is optional, and some walkers keep it private.
- Group walk photos show other people's dogs. Get owners' consent in your terms before posting any on social media.
- On Lite, reports go by email or app notification only; text messages need Solo.
