The problem

Monthly reports eat the start of every month. If an agency has 8 retainer clients and spends 90 minutes on each pulling numbers and writing the commentary, that's 720 minutes, 12 hours a month.

What the AI does

AgencyAnalytics connects to the client's marketing accounts (its site lists 85+ platforms) and builds dashboards and white-label reports that can be sent on a schedule. Its AI features include Ask AI, which flags trends and dips across client accounts, and AgencyAI, which the site says can surface insights and draft client-ready commentary. Use the draft as a starting point. An account manager reads the numbers, removes any reason the software can't know, adds what the team did that month and signs off the commentary before the client sees it.

A worked example

A six-person marketing agency in Leeds sends monthly reports to 8 retainer clients. Until now the account managers copy numbers from each platform into slides and write the commentary by hand.

Before

8 reports at 90 minutes each: 720 minutes, 12 hours a month

After

If dashboards are built once and the AI commentary only needs checking and editing, about 45 minutes each: 360 minutes, 6 hours a month

What it's worth

About 6 hours a month saved, worth about £240 at £40 an hour, if the halving of report time holds (an assumption to test in the 14-day trial). Cost: Core is £15 per client a month on annual billing or £19 per client a month on monthly billing (GBP shown at checkout), so 8 clients is £120 or £152 a month. Net gain about £120 on annual or £88 on monthly billing. The price rises with each client you add.

How to set it up

  1. Start the 14-day free trial (no card needed) and connect one client's accounts.
  2. Rebuild one existing report as a dashboard and compare it with the report you send now.
  3. Run the AI commentary on last month's data and compare it with what you wrote; note what it gets wrong or cannot know.
  4. Agree a rule: an account manager edits every commentary and checks every claim against the figures before it is sent.
  5. Roll out to the rest of your clients, and choose annual (£15, 1-year commitment) or monthly (£19, cancel anytime) billing per client.

What goes wrong

  • AI commentary can state a cause for a result that the data does not show. A person adds the real reasons and removes guesses.
  • Client marketing data is confidential. Check AgencyAnalytics' data terms and your client contracts before connecting accounts.
  • Annual plans are a 1-year commitment, so a client who leaves still costs you until the term ends. Monthly plans have no commitment and can be cancelled anytime, at £19 rather than £15 per client.
  • Reports that make claims on a client's behalf, such as results from a campaign, must be accurate and substantiated before they are used in advertising.
