The problem
People choosing a bodyshop, especially after a poor experience with an insurer's network repairer, read reviews first. A shop repairing 30 cars a month that never asks might get 1 review a month, so a single angry one sits near the top for weeks.
What the AI does
Google Business Profile lets you create a link or QR code that takes customers straight to your review form. The day after collection, send every customer the same short text from a Firetext template: thanks, and the link. Google's rules say reviews must reflect a genuine experience and nothing may be offered in return. Reply to each review from your profile, and deal with any complaint by phone.
A worked example
A bodyshop in Bolton repairs about 30 cars a month. Reception sends a thank-you text with the review link the day after each car goes home, and the QR code is printed on the collection paperwork.
Before
About 1 review a month, the newest 2 months old
After
If 1 customer in 6 responds: about 5 new reviews a month

How to set it up
- Claim your Google Business Profile and create your review link and QR code.
- Write a short Firetext template with the customer's name, a thank-you and the link.
- Send it to every customer the day after collection, not only those who seemed happy.
- Print the QR code on the collection paperwork too.
- Reply to every review within a few days.
What goes wrong
- Offering a discount or a free valet for a review breaks Google's rules and UK consumer law on fake and incentivized reviews.
- Insurance customers may blame you for the insurer's delays. Reply calmly about what was in your control, and never mention claim details in public.
- Keep it to one plain thank-you text with no offers, and don't send it to anyone who asked not to be contacted.
